Three canoes – three happy children. Canoeing was very pleasant. It was especially pleasant because I didn’t have to do any paddling. Perhaps, I should call this excerpt, “Not Paddling.”
The nicest thing about traveling with adult children is I don’t have to be in charge. They can figure everything out for themselves (including arranging the canoe trip). I’m not responsible for their happiness or their misery; their hunger, their boredom, their fatigue, their belongings, whether they should use the potty or not; not even their passports!
